Type II Trauma

A term coined by Dr. Lenore Terr to characterize multiple, long-standing or repeated exposure to traumatic events; associated with broader psychological consequences and coping deficits. Retroactively credited as the origin of the concept of “complex trauma” even though that term was not used in Dr. Terr’s source material.
